California Prop. 65 Warning Information

Why is there a warning for Mighty Bright products? Are they safe?

California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, better known as Prop 65, currently lists about 900 hundred chemicals which the State believes could cause cancer or reproductive harm to humans in certain circumstances of exposure. If a product contains any of these chemicals, informing the customer is required. For this reason, Mighty Brite labels all of their products with this warning.

Mighty Brite says, "The warning does not mean that our products will cause any harm. Moreover, a Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. In fact, the California government has clarified that the fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe."
